Discovery - Research
Showing off uncovered pain points. Actual pain points arise where everyone thinks the process is already optimized. Whenever you think a process is already optimized make sure to take a second look to truly discover the process entanglement and complexity.
Typically, we find problems to solve in processes involving human decision-making. Maybe you already have perfected and polished the answer to Why? Why are you doing this? and also the answer to What? We believe that, maybe there it is nothing else to optimize -although questionable-.
We love to search for pain points where probably the process seems trivial. What you may find as a trivial question with a really simple answer, may turn to be a really complex question and with a really simple crystal-clear optimal answer. Once revealed, the answer it’s obvious, but while it is still to be discovered, the answer is far from clear.
Where there is a lot to optimize, is where questions such as: How? How much? When? Whom? arise.
How?
This question is about defining the best way to accomplish an objective. Whenever the human mind faces a decision making process in a complex network or system, it tends to simplify the whole process to a clear, understandable path. This simplification is helpful to derive quick answers (sometimes not so quick) to complex problems. But, are they optimal? Human mind needs to complement itself with technology that empowers it.
How much?
Again, you already know what to do. But, do you really need to do everything in that what in one-shot? Could you be better by doing just a fraction of the whole? You don’t know. Let’s discover it.
When?
The most proactive part of your mind would tell you: “do it now!” , the most cautious part would tell: “Let’s think more about it.” The final answer typically is something between these two. Still, there are people who never decide, and never do something. However, again, do you know if your answer is optimal? You don’t know.
Optimization is more about evaluating the whole process, the whole network, to have the complete version of the real problem and to make the actual optimal solution emerge victorious from the complexity maze.
Our objective:At the end, you may be turn upside down and answer again: “Why?” …
Our Premise
We seek to transform the way teams across industries think about Productivity and work towards Efficiency. We believe that every system –no matter how complex– is capable to reach an optimal operation efficiency point. To do this we love to challenge current methods and techniques, always looking to think differently and to develop the best Advanced Optimization and Prescriptive Analytics algorithms. We also hustle to make these technologies available to people in any industry, through intuitive and beautifully designed Software.
We are a highly motivated and highly focused combination of different
specialities and personalities working together to create a passionate, agile, focused and committed Team. Our goal and permanent dream is to apply scientific knowledge to transform it into practical real-value knowledge.
What we have tattooed in ourselves
Economics 101: Humans have unlimited needs and desires. Nature has very limited resources. Efficiency means getting what we want with the least.
The most respectful thing we can do, as humans, toward nature, is to perform all our activities efficiently. This way we balance our infinite needs to our limited, extremely valuable natural resources.
Nature has given us all. The most respectful thing we can do – as humans–, is to perform all our activities efficiently. This way we balance our infinite needs to our limited, extremely valuable natural resources.
